Pretty Pokeweed

The delicate, tiny flowers of Pokeweed stand out with their pink stalks. A perennial plant native to Eastern North America, it was used by Native Americans as a food and for various ailments and by settlers as a  folk medicine.

  1. This works very well, Sheila – I think its the combination of the green flower centres (I’m no botanist!!! :) ) and the out of focus pinks – the greens seem to be floating above the pinks! A
