Just over a week ago we got a bit of snow that melted as fast as it came. This is a sunny day view of a majestic White Oak on the Parkwood Hospital grounds with that early snow clinging to a patch of teasels.
The Sydenham River that runs through Coldstream Conservation Area is the only colour in the early spring landscape. This was taken last week so I am sure in just that short time with all the rain we have had, it has greened up quite a bit.
A late day view along the Thames River in London, Ontario. I’m pretty sure this is a Black Willow – Salix falcata – a tree that loves wet areas. There are many willows growing along the floodplain of this large river.
