White Peony

White Peony

The Peony is native to Asia, southern Europe and western North America. It was named for Paeon, a student of the Greek god of medicine and healing, Asclepius. Zeus saved Paeon from the jealous wrath of Asclepius by turning him into the peony flower. In China, the peony is symbolic of riches and honour.
