Pink orange Cockscomb

This strange looking flower is a Celosia, also known as Cockscomb or sometimes Woolflowers. They are a small genus of edible and ornamental annual plants that come in a variety of vibrant colours including hot pink, orange, purple, gold and red.

Pink Gladiolus Flower

Close on a pink gladiolus flower. Gladiolus is from the Latin for 'sword' and they are sometimes called sword lilies. Native to sub-Saharan Africa, these perennial bulbous plants are extensively hybridized in a wide range of intense colours.
