Pow Wows have a long tradition of bringing Indigenous people together to celebrate with singing, dancing, friendship and food. The word Pow Wow comes from the Algonquian word powwaw, meaning “spiritual leader” or “shaman.” This image shows some of the amazing beaded and feather details of a men’s Pow Wow outfit.
