Willow in the Wind

Willow in the Wind

The branches of a spring green willow fly in the wind. Tilting the camera slightly gives it even more of a wind blown look. I took this yesterday while walking in a downtown park where the Thames River is lined with majestic old willows.

  1. I love the way you’ve captured the movement of the Willow Sheila. They are beautiful, graceful, ‘stately’ trees and always remind me of my childhood and a favourite place.

    • thanks – had to work it a bit by turning the camera… I know what you mean about memories – used to love climbing them, and playing with the branches. We had a big one in our backyard when I was a kid – that is until our neighbours built a pool near our fence line and made us cut it down because it was damaging their new pool… and then about ten years later they filled it in!!!

  2. Hi Sheila, I’ve just spent a good 20 minutes going through your photos and absolutely love them. Your nature shots are so clean and simple with great luminance and colours. A real joy.
