The fields are full of colour these days with golden wheat and amber barley. This scene is north of London on Wonderland Road at Fifteen Mile Road, looking west.
Thanks meanderer. It is so amazing driving around the countryside and seeing such bold beauty. I was thrilled to find such a ‘pristine’ chunk of field!
Really gold color.Amazing.:)
thanks cocomino – yes it was a beautiful day and the sun lit up the fields so wonderfully they glowed.
If only we had a bit of sunshine to light up our fields! 😉 😉 😉
I’m sure some is on its way! 🙂
That field really is golden! I like the composition with the sky taking up most of the area in the photograph. Very nice.

Terrific sky to go with the fields, and nice texture of the wheat.

Oooh, my favorite kind of graphic landscape. Love the gold against the blue. Beautiful!

thank you – the winter wheat is such a photogenic plant from its early spring greenness to its August harvest.
