While downtown the other day, I thought to find again some graffiti I photographed a while ago which had an inspiring quote. It seems that it has been completely removed so I will have to dig out and post the image I have. It appears that London has done a remove and paint over campaign on much of the back alley graffiti. This colourful piece of a remaining wall caught my eye with the sun streaming across it on a diagonal.

Lovely texture and amazing colours!
thank you iltana – it sure brightens up a dark alley way.
I love the moodiness of this. I can just imagine a jazz saxophonist standing there playing – hat on the ground.
On the subject of graffiti, what do you think of this castle in Scotland:

It’s quite controversial and I’m still not sure what I think of it.
thank m – yes a saxophonist would look great there!
regarding that castle – when it comes to historical buildings like that, I tend to be a purist. This does not appeal to me at all – however, if they had done this on the side of some newer industrial building, I would think it was great..
I think I’m still in shock at seeing that castle. It seems a bit unreal!
I hear ya!
I love it! Great light on it too!
thanks mimo – the mid day light made it really stand out, it is quite a dark alley most times of the day.
It always brightens my day when you visit my blog 🙂 We both have a Alley theme Today 🙂
I always enjoy seeing your neat shots! 🙂
😉 😛 😉
🙂 🙂 🙂
Oh I love that! That’s right up there with your best! I just love the rich colours and the glancing light and the whole thing. Wonderful! Adrian
thanks Adrian – amazing what artwork lurks in those back alleys. I like the blue background this theme chose.
Great colour and texture. I agree with Meanderer – bring in a saxophonist to play Alley cats. On the subject of Kelburn castle – oh so wrong. As a set on a Barney video or at The Storybook Gardens in London On., okay.
thanks – ‘wrong’ is a good word. I’ve seen really neat projection mapping used on historic buildings that is really cool.
