This image provides an optical illusion. Hard to distinguish what it is and from what angle, so I titled it Looking Up so your eye can sort of adjust to the fact it is a view from under the metal platform on playground equipment.

Great abstract! It did take a little while for my eyes to adjust!
thanks meanderer – it took me a few seconds and I shot it! ha ha …
I saw it right away, but I also tend to look at things also from below.
always a good perspective to explore!
I’m glad you told me what it was, because I never would have guessed. Great image, Sheila!
thanks Ted – something a bit different.
Ahaaaa… I get it! Good one… 😉
thanks aj!
Very cool, Sheila!
thank you Nicole.
You’re one for always seeing opportunities! Well done!
thanks eremophila! glad you’re back.
Nice shot! But this is my sort of picture and I managed to get through the excellent optical illusion to see the reality. I like the way the metal gets darker down into the bottom right corner – that gives the shot another dimension. Good picture! Adrian
thank you – keep those eyes guessing… someone told me it looks like flying saucers. ha ha
Oooh! I’m glad you put an explanation there – initially I thought I was looking a molten, metallic blobs 🙂
no probs… when I first looked at it, I knew what it was since I had it in context but I too had trouble focusing on the sky through the holes.
WOW! Good illusion. As Lu, my eyes were also focusing on the other way around! 🙂
thank you very much – I do love the visual tricks in somewhat of an abstract treatment.
Nice illusion. It is indeed hard to change the way you look at it once you have a specific focus in mind.
thanks – yes a trick of the eye…
Like it, I thought it was silver “blobs” on a black background until my brain told me I could see through the ones near the top left. 😀
🙂
