Here is an image I originally posted on June 6th 2010. A majestic Harris Hawk, Parabuteo unicinctus, seen at the Salthaven Wildlife Rehab and Educaion display at Fleetwood County Cruise-In, June 5, 2010. The Harris Hawk is native to the southwestern United States and south to central South America. It is famous for its remarkable behavior of hunting cooperatively – most raptors are solitary hunters. Salthaven in Mt. Bridges, Ontario does wonderful work saving injured wildlife. Their website is http://www.salthaven.org.

This is incredible.
Beautiful – I’m an ex-birder by the way, Sheila, if you don’t know already. I like the way the pale area in the backdrop comes around and over the head – this adds something to the picture that a totally uniform backdrop would lack. Adrian
Wow ! such detail. 🙂
