Medway Creek cloaked in yellow maple leaves is a glorious sight. We’re expecting the tail end of Hurricane Sandy tonight and tomorrow so I’ll bet that most of the trees will be bare by Wednesday.
thanks Bonnie. I’m crouched on the creek bank so the leaves in the foreground are the shore and the branch behind is a reflection from across the creek.
Such a pretty golden color!
thanks – yes the woods were very yellow this year.
Love the colors. There probably won’t be much of these to see after the storm. Stay safe, Sheila.
thanks Gracie – the 100 km+ winds did take down most of the leaves, except for our maples, they are notoriously slow to lose their leaves.
Mesmerizing – Not sure if I am looking up or down, a perfect photo!

Terrific POV! Yes, may you be safe with the storms about.
thank you – and you enjoy your wonderful spring time, hopefully sans storms!
Beautiful, golden colours. I hope all is well where you are.
Thanks – yes we got off lightly.
Excellent picture, Sheila – I really like (and was initially puzzled by) the combination of the leaves and the reflection. Adrian
thanks Adrian. I wanted some context for the reflection – for a change.
This piece has a wonderful painterly quality. Very evocative of time & place.
