A young elm tree’s branches stand out against the bright white sky. This tree was broken right down to the ground in an October snow storm three years ago and it has grown back quite nicely. The tree that was lost had grown from the stump of a much older elm that has succumbed to Dutch Elm Disease many years ago. Elms are real survivor trees.
