While in Cuba, this cute little bird was curious as to what I was photographing and sat and watched me for a few minutes so I turned and took its picture! Not sure what kind of bird it is… any ideas? Quite small with yellow and black feathers.

Could it be a wren?
it is the same size and shape for sure… I’ll check it out and see. thanks Remi! had that little chirp chirp that wrens do. so cute.
it looks like there are field guides of Cuban birds…could narrow down the search.
It certainly looks like a warbler to me, possibly a Palm Warbler? A really nice capture though!
yes!!! that is exactly what it is. I should see them around here in the summer – I’ll have to keep an eye out. I knew you would know! thanks Joleen.
Glad I could help….Now bring on an early Spring!! I’m ready for the spring migration!
agreed… going to have to start buying my spring flowers to brighten up the place… lol.
