I love this. Sadly, our biggest White Pine was hit hard by the ice storm in December and one branch from the top (about 3 stories high) came down and sheared everything on one side. We are hoping that the tree can recover as it is so beautiful and makes up a big part of the landscape in our yard. Several other pines were also hit and we lost an apple tree and lots of other branches, but this was by far the most devastating loss.
oh Paula – sorry to hear this. I hope it can recover too… white pines are so beautiful.
