Very nice shot!
It’s great that you are seeing (and helping) Blue Jays! They, like crows, have gone into a terrible decline due to the mosquito carrying West Nile virus. They are slowly building immunity.
This is a lovely macro study. You’ve really captured the texture and pattern. I’ve been loving watching jays and other birds in my garden and I just bought a guide to help me identify them all. Blue jays are quite spectacular.
Love!
thanks, Debi!

Thanks, Thomas! I do love Jays. Glad to hear they’re building an immunity to West Nile. That gives hope humans will too.
You can’t fool me, this photo is of a lake in Alaska!
ha ha so right. you got me! 🙂

thanks! they are quite the birds – making all kinds of noises and fuss… I often hear them mimic hawks to scare the other birds.
Great detailed shot!
thanks, feathers are such great subjects.
