Some lovely carving detail on a building constructed in 1912 by Curry and Sparling in the Classic Revival style. Later, starting in 1944, this building was home to Doubleday Canada publishing headquarters and is now part of the Ryerson campus.

The waves are lovely, and I especially like the contrast between their smoothness and the granular surface just beneath. It’s like earth and water.
