I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a black and white photo of sunflowers, Sheila. At first, I wasn’t at all impressed. But after a few more looks, what occurred to me is that I’ve never seen the centers of sunflowers more prominent than the rays, either. It’s a different way of seeing: less cheerful, perhaps, but just as interesting.
What a hoot! Who woulda thunk to photograph sunflowers in black and white, they’re so sunny and loud and colorful! But I really like this, Sheila. As the previous commenter says, it’s a different way of seeing. I find it more poetic in this difference. Thanks, Sheila.

Thanks, Cynthia! I do love the contrast and shapes and a bit of an archival approach.
