I lived in Ontario for 6 months (years ago) when I did some volunteer work there. The roads, in cold weather, would get crazy dangerous with freezing rain and super slippery conditions.

yeah, winter is not my favourite time of year. main roads are better maintained, but small back roads… take your chances.
