An image from the summer on a snowy back-to-work Monday! Another photo from my phone, taken on a lunchtime walk at work. Needing snow boots now for winter shots!

I don’t remember seeing these football-shaped lily pads before. They’re quite unusual — at least to my eye. Of course, I know almost nothing about the varieties of water lily, so they could be quite commonplace for someone else.

  I’m not sure how common they are. wild ones called water shield I think…. I do like the way they photograph.
