Snow Dog Luke Posted on October 5, 2016 by Sheila Creighton Posted in Animals Tagged copyright, dog, Luke, photography, Rottweiller, snow, winter 11 Comments Here’s a photo of my dog Luke from last winter. He was a great shooting buddy on many hikes and adventures and he so loved the snow! Sadly, he won’t see another winter. He will be missed. 😦 © Sheila Creighton 2016 Share this:ShareFacebookEmailTwitterPinterestLinkedInTumblrLike this:Like Loading... Related
Oh, Sheila. I’m so sorry. Losing these special friends is hard in a way some people just don’t understand. But what a wonderful portrait you have — and I know the memories are equally wonderful.
Thanks, Linda. He did like having his photo taken and even a few videos!
Great photo of your dear companion. Losing a dog is heartbreaking. Thinking of you and hope you can give yourself time and space to mourn.
Thanks, Lynn. It is heartbreaking, he was a good friend.
Oh Sheila….my heart aches for you….and I am in tears, here, as I look at the photo of that fabulous face. I lost my own dog, this past March and how I empathize . Such beautiful, wonderful creatures they are, and we are so lucky to fall in love with them, despite this terrible hurt of losing their companionship. Take care.
Thanks, Cynthia, and so sorry for your loss too. Dogs are indeed beautiful and wonderful. Their intuition, free spirited attitude and unconditional love make the pain worth it.
I am so sorry for your loss. It is so sad to lose a beloved friend. Luke will be in your heart forever.. He has such a soulful face, and I am sure you treasure this beautiful portrait.
Awww thanks so much. Yes, he will be in my heart forever. He was a great shooting partner.
A portrait of love. So sad for your loss Sheila of such a good friend.
Thanks E, yeah he was a friend. Hope you’re doing well. My work has been so crazy busy that my blogging has been not getting my attention…winter will fix that!
He is adorable! What a tender capture!
