What an iconic scene. I grew up with square bales (and even some loose hay harvesting) but these are so typical of our modern Texas landscape. They always remind me of big shredded wheat biscuits.
Sorry for such a late reply. My work is crazy this time of year. Thanks, Linda – I feel the same. Iconic for sure and by the sounds of it, far-reaching. Now I’ll think of shredded wheat too! LOL.
No need to apologize, ever. We all get caught up with life outside the cyberworld. I once found a comment I hadn’t responded to TWO YEARS after the fact. I did apologize for that one!
Lol… I’m afraid to look. 🙂
So the rain held off enough for baling? I’ve been reading of how it’s been a wet summer in many places…..
Hi E! Just saw this, sorry. August was a lot less rainy and I think farmers are generally happy. Crops seem like they’ve caught up – were about two weeks behind most of the summer. Now looking forward to all the wonderful produce at the farmer’s markets! 🙂
