Those other names are interesting. I’ve only heard it referred to as chicken of the woods. I know several people who hunt and eat them, but I’ll confess I’d have a little trouble adding one to my scrambled eggs or whatever. I suppose if I were properly introduced, I might be more accepting!

I hear ya. Guess I’m not that adventurous however this was in a conservation area so taking anything is frowned upon and poor form as a naturalist. 🙂
