One of my favourite oaks from the fall. There’s a bit of snow now but we’re looking at an above zero week ahead with temps around 5°C (41°F) and 10°C (50°F) by the end of the week! So no white Christmas but better for driving. 🙂

That tree has a gorgeous shape! And, yes — no snow (or ice) is better for travel. I had a midwestern cousin who had to cancel a trip to see her kids last week because of weather. They rescheduled, of course!
It’s a classic! I am actually happy it’s not going to be cold and snowy -so much less stress driving distances. And all the family stuff is crazy enough for people…lol.
