  1. I wondered what in the world ‘Cesarini Blue’ might be. Turns out it’s a cultivar of Pinus flexilis, and it’s named after Joe Cesarini. At first I questioned that, but on page nine of this edition of the Conifer Quarterly you can find an obituary that confirms that he had several species named after him. He died in 2004.
