Sheila it is pretty in a picture and in its native environment. That would be southern Europe and north Africa. Unfortunately taken out of that environment it is invasive. It was in our garden when we moved in. And I have been removing it ever since. It spreads like crazy, crowds out other plants, and produces lots of little bulbs that break off easily and remain in the soil. After removing hundreds and facing more it’s visual image is worn and tired. Wow – good to know! Luckily I have only a few small clumps of them to remove – they just grew wild. Sorry to stir up those bad memories!
