Winter Burdock

Burdock covered in snow

Burdock, the plant that sticks to your dog's coat, is native to Europe and Northern Asia and grows widely across North America as a weed. A member of the daisy family, it reaches 3 - 4 feet with purple flowers that bloom all summer. Burdock has been used for hundreds of years for soar throat, to improve digestion, as a topical skin remedy and more. It is an antioxidant, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory and it has recently been discovered to have prebiotic properties.
