Took this at Medway Creek the other day. The monarchs are still around and now enjoying the plentiful goldenrod flowers. Soon they will migrate to Central America for the winter - amazing creatures!

The Red-Spotted Purple is a beautiful brush-footed butterfly. Seen at Medway Creek in London, I am thinking that seeing so many more butterflies this year is because of the ban on pesticides for cosmetic use.
