Day 2 – 5 Day B&W Challenge: Weathered

Weathered

I’ve accepted this, my first challenge, from AJ at Ouch My Back Hurts to post a black and white image for five consecutive days and challenge a fellow blogger each day. You can pick whatever subject matter you like. Today I’m choosing an image from the archives of an old painted door that’s seen better days.

There are only two rules for this challenge:

1. On 5 consecutive days, create a post using either a past or recent photo in B&W.
2. Each day invite another blog friend to join in the fun.

So, I agreed to take up the challenge and for my second day, I invite a blogger ‘from across the pond’ as AJ puts it, who I admire greatly for his artistic skill with a lens, Adrian. As a lover of black and white, I hope you will wish to participate Adrian. It’s fine if you do not. It’s supposed to be fun!

Grey on Gray

Grey on Gray

Textured bark stands out in the forest. Not sure if this is a black cherry – has that look but will ask the expert at work. Also the spelling of grey or gray –  they both mean the same thing but British spelling is usually with an e and American with an a. I am surrounded by both spellings all the time and I think I generally use grey, likely because of Earl Grey and Greyhound. Go figure. :-)

Oh The Stigma

Oh The Stigma

A beautiful lily from last July for some Friday colour. :-) After today, I’ve worked 26 days straight at two jobs with little time for photography or anything else. Time for a weekend and catching up with blogs, comments and finding some new images. Too bad it’s record cold temps but I have hope it will be an early spring.
