Poetry in Motion

Yesterday, on my way into work, I was lucky to get some images of a camera shy doe who wanted no part of it. Shooting into the morning light was tricky but a tree aided me and allowed for a backlit form.

We're Out of Here

The other evening when I left work, the deer were not too keen to model.

Urban Deer

Three deer keep an eye on me as I approach them in a field in south London. With only my phone camera on me – no zoom – I was surprised I could get this close.

Young Deer

A few weeks ago while on a driving tour around Muskoka, I spotted this young White-tailed deer at the side of a county road. She stood looking at me with her sweet face and big ears long enough for me to take a few photos, before a passing car scared her back into the woods.

Deer track in snow

There's no mistaking this deer track in the snow - a large male by the looks of it. Many deer live in the nearby Medway Creek Heritage Forest.

Hiding Deer

A young deer stays still in the woods, more concerned with my dog than my camera.
