Still StandingThe same patch of flowers I photographed last summer remain as shells of their former selves. After the warmer weather and photographing snowdrops, this morning we woke up to a dumping of wet snow!

Winter FernsA few weeks ago I went for a walk at a rather snowy Civic Gardens and this large patch of dried fern fronds caught my eye. I look forward to visiting again once the ferns are big and green.

Dried BloomsPretty blooms of what I think is Giant Hogweed – a toxic invader – seen at Dorchester Conservation Area. It was huge and there were many plants along a stream. It’s a plant you should leave alone that I thought was being controlled.
