Lalique Eagle

Lalique Eagle Hood Ornament

Known for quality, beauty and creativity, glass and jewellery designer René Lalique (1860-1945) created this stunning crystal eagle's head hood ornament in the late 1920s. I photographed it on a 1930 Cord L-29 Phaeton Sedan at the recent Fleetwood Country Cruize-in fundraising event.

Eagle Feathers

Eagle Feathers

In North American Indigenous culture, eagles represent power, healing, wisdom and connection to the Great Spirit. Eagles teach man the story of life. They teach one to live in balance with heaven and Earth, to love the shadow as much as the light and to soar with the gift of clear vision and tenacity. This image is a detail of an Indigenous costume at the Pow Wow at the Museum of Archaeology, September 18, 2010.
