Gold Flame Spirea

New leaves on the Gold Flame Spirea are lit up by the late afternoon sun. Also called Spiraea japonica or Spiraea x bumalda 'Goldflame,' this shrub is one of the most colourful and hardy in my garden. In spring, its leaves emerge a bright red and fade to yellow for the summer.
