Flying Horse

Dating back to early jousting traditions in Europe and the Middle East, Carousels or Merry-go-rounds became popular at fairs in England during the mid 1800s. These colourful rides are still popular with the little ones!

Merry Go Round

A view of horses on the Merry-go-round or Carousel at the CNE. The earliest known depiction of a carousel is in a Byzantine bas-relief dating to around 500 A.D., which depicts riders in baskets suspended from a central pole!
