Snake Plant

Snake Plant

A leaf of my Snake Plant glows in the late afternoon light. Native to West Africa, it is also called a Mother-in-law's Tongue, in Brazil it is known as espada-de-são-jorge (sword-of-saint-george), in China and Japan it's called Tiger Tail and in Australia it grows as a weed. Used here as an indoor plant, it is one of the best for absorbing toxins.
