Light Through Oak

Due to my laptop's demise and not being home until the weekend, I am posting an image from early in my photoblog's life of one of my favourite shots - light streaming down through an oak on a misty morning.

Morning Glow

A Morning Glory flower glows in the early light of day. Every year I plant these pretty annual vines because they grow quite quickly and seem to do okay in my predominantly shady garden.

You Don't Know Jack

Tradition holds Jack Frost responsible for the crystal patterns on windows in winter.

English folklore portrays Jack Frost as an elfish creature who personifies extreme cold winter weather. Some believe Jack originates in Germanic folklore, specifically Anglo-Saxon and Norse winter customs.
