Mama Turtle

A female Snapping Turtle, who’s just laid some eggs, gives me a look. A program to incubate eggs and release the baby turtles is in place in the natural area where I work. It gives them the best chance for survival.

Annually on June 29, the town of Anghiari, Italy celebrates the famous 1440 Battle of Anghiari with the Palio della Battaglia, a costumed pageant in the main square.
