Remembering the Colour

Remberbering the Colour

The fall colour is all gone for another year, replaced with the colour of Christmas lights at night.  I can’t help think about a wonderful fall walk at Rock Glen Conservation Area and the magical light filtering through the woods on the boardwalk. I’ve been quite sick with some kind of flu the last four days so have not been out shooting or visiting my blog buddies – hopefully I will be back to normal soon.

Red Blaze

Red Blaze

Yesterday was Canada’s Thanksgiving holiday. As it was a beautiful sunny day, we took a drive to the Rock Glen Conservation Area in Arkona, Ontario. The fall colour was great but this particular maple tree – a Sugar Maple I think  – was breathtaking. It was this deep, intense saturated red and in my books could qualify for the adjective, awesome.
