At this time of year you often see rose-like ornamental cabbage and kale amid the bold asters and mums. Kale has the frilly edges. It gets more colourful as it gets colder and it is edible.

A beautiful Tiffany Rose in my garden. I originally posted this image in November of 2009 but no one saw it so I thought today in recognition of achieving 100,000 views on my blog yesterday I would put it up again. Tiffany is a hybrid tea rose introduced in 1954 and is one of the most fragrant roses on earth.
