Delicate Crocus

Here's a light purple crocus image that I actually shot last spring the second week of April! The crocus are blooming here now and 'they' say this is two weeks early. We were two weeks late last year - what a difference in timing, almost a whole month. It's nice to see even though we had such a wimpy winter.

April Snow

Yesterday we had some more spring snow. These pretty little purple flowers that bloom in the lawn are known as Chionodoxa or Glory of the Snow, so I guess they are just living up to their name! They are small bulb plants native to the eastern Mediterranean.
