Before I tell you about today's image, I would like to say I have reached a milestone - 50,000 views. Since November 14, 2009 I have posted 621 images - one each day - this is image 622. This image is of The Trumpeter Swan Sculpture in the Midland, Ontario Harbour that I took a few days ago. Created by artist Ron Hunt and erected in 2001 by the Town of Midland, it honours North America’s largest waterfowl the Trumpeter Swan, considered an endangered species in the 1980s. Thanks to the efforts of the Wye Marsh, their population has been nurtured back to health.
