A couple of days ago, the temperature difference between the northern Panhandle and the Rio Grande Valley was 65 degrees!
That’s true. And going from east to west, it’s farther from the Louisiana line to El Paso than it is from Chicago to New York.
Hmmmm… I’m off to check that. I’ve been told it so many times it may or may not be so. I’ll report! Reply

Yes! Chicago to NYC, 799 miles. Louisiana/Texas line to El Paso, 852 miles. Amazing.
